Pursuit of Happyness :)

It’s been quite a long time since I wrote something. It’s 0000 Hours on Easter Sunday and I can’t sleep. I don’t think this post would be quite so long as my past ones, as I don’t have anything to write about. But still here goes nothing.

Humans have always learned from their mistakes, their past experiences, they have learnt by observing things, by studying various situations and predicting as to what might be the outcome in most of the cases. They have put these learning to good use and also taught the same to coming future generations by recording these findings and preserving them by writing them down or by word of mouth.

Isn’t that how the humans have advanced over the generations? By learning from their forefathers, by religiously following the written word, and if need be, improving on it.

But still there are times when this is not true. When we tend to neglect what is plain in sight to behold and wish for the unreachable/unfathomable/improbable to occur.

When we defy our own logic and commit mistakes which we know would lead us to further misery and trouble.

It’s probably the tendency of the human mind which always wishes for something that it knows it can’t get. It’s been the same since time unmemorable starting with the legend of the first human beings, Adam and Eve and the forbidden fruit. Probably they are to blame for the state the human race is in today.

Never satisfied with that they have and always in Pursuit of Happiness, where happiness doesn’t only suffice to get the bare necessities. Where the human being is always in a constant rush to get more and more.

Now do I have any advice for the world which might just enlighten them enough to save mankind? Err.. sorry to say but not at all. I am also one of the endless minions running the rat race to a end which does not seem to be in sight.

My only advice would be as Mr Bobby McFerrin said:

Here is a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't worry be happy
In every life we have some trouble
When you worry you make it double

Don't worry, be happy......

This is COSMIC BLASTING OFF ...
